Thanks for your peace for general calmness. While it may be true that there is an ulterior motive, rigging, to postpone the electios, we must also note that Mr. Jega is an under-performer. He failed previously in all election. In 2011, many innocent souls were lost apart from properties destroyed. Mr. Jega could not have done better this year. Going by the increasing tension in the land, it would have been worse to hold the elections or selections as designed by Mr Jega.

In my view, there are many reasons why the elections should be postponed. First, the PVC have not been fully distributed. Second, INEC needs time for logistics. Third, the period allocated for campaign, Jan 2 - Feb 13, is only 43 days. This is TOO short. No presidential candidate can fully cover all 36 States and FCT within this time frame. Fourth, electorates need time to reflect and digest campaign promises to make informed decisions. Fifth, there is tension in the land now. The postponement can ease it. Sixth, all political parties have more time to review their strategies and logistics.
However, the fact remains that the bulk stops at Mr. Jonathan's table. He was aware that elections are to be held every four years. Since he promised in 2011 to conduct free and credible elections in 2015, he has failed Nigerians. This is another reason for the much desired "Change". Change is inevitable. Nigerians have suffered enough in the land. There is DEFINITELY NO ROOM FOR CONTINUITY. God save Nigeria
